Hold My Hands Women and Youth Foundation (HHWYF) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was conceived in the year 2013 and duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/NO 88009) on the 8th of June, 2016.

The organization is in partnership with other governmental and non-governmental organizations to implement school, health and community-based projects. Our partners include World Youth Foundation, Accept International Japan, Junior Chamber International (JCI), Child Care and Adult Protection Initiative (CCAPI), Supporting Women and Children in Africa (SWACIA) and Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network.

We work majorly in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and have also implemented school-based projects in Ebonyi and Nasarawa states. We are actively involved in the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) in Nigeria.

The organization has implemented projects in the areas of women and child abuse, female genital mutilation (FGM), teenage pregnancy, forced early child marriage and other harmful traditional practices affecting girls and women in Africa. We implement projects on peace building and conflict resolution.

In partnership with our principal partner the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hold My Hands Women and Youth Development Foundation has recorded huge success in the areas of gender advocacy on the dangers of early child marriage, child abuse, child rights, female genital mutilation FGM/C, teenage pregnancy and other harmful traditional practices affecting girls and women in Africa.

This has been achieved through campaigns, workshops and sensitization exercises in Abuja, Ebonyi and Nasarawa States.
